MAP for Life – Meditate And Pray
Meditate
“For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the terrible God, who is not partial and takes no bribe. He executes justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the sojourner, giving him food and clothing. Love the sojourner therefore; for you were sojourners in the land of Egypt.” (Deut 10:17-19 RSV)
Pray
Mon. – praise God for who he is
Tues. – thank him that he is always impartial and just
Wed. – pray for justice for orphans, widows and other powerless people
Thurs. – thank God that he continues to love and provide for the nationless
Fri. – pray for diligence to obey God’s command to love refugees
Sat. – pray all Christians remember we are just sojourners on the earth
Meditate Read the scripture slowly to yourself several times, letting its truths fill your mind and heart. Try to recall the passage several times during the day, listening to God as He instructs you in what He wants you to learn.
